Google Sites- Student Portfolio?!

During my recent technology course at University of St. Francis, Foundations of Educational Technology, I realized that there is so much out there that I have not explored in the technology world! One of my favorite ideas came from Google Sites. You, as the teacher, can create a template on Google Sites that you can share with students. The students then make a copy of this site, and create their very own portfolio for their school year! Here is an image of the 5th grade portfolio that I have started!

Intro. Post

Hey all,

My name is Justine Legner, and I am a 5th grade teacher at Prospect! This is my 7th year here at Prospect, and my 6th year in 5th grade. Prior to that I taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and was an instructional aide for a year.

I have an amazing family that consists of my husband and 2 children. My husband, Warren, and I have been together for 14 years, married for 8 of them. We went to high school together, and have been best friends ever since we met! My daughter, Brielle, is 6 and in first grade. She loves to play soccer, run, dance, sing, read, be outdoors, and travel! She has quite the spunky personality with a heart of gold. My son, Weston, is 3 years old and full of life. He loves anything related to sports, being outdoors, and ninjas! He is one of the goofiest kiddos I have met in my life, and is quite the life of the party. My family is my world, and I love them to pieces!!

In my spare time outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, being outdoors, hiking, live music, and food. My passion for teaching continues to grow each year, and I am looking forward to continue to learn how to best incorporate technology into my classroom. :)
